Routine Windows server maintenance will be performed from midnight to 8 a.m. Saturday, December 17. During the maintenance, the following services will be briefly interrupted: Gizmo, MyDocs, SharePoint, Perceptive Content (formerly ImageNow), Campus Directory, Newswire, OmniUpdate, some university websites, SQL Server and WWW1. Echo360 Lecture Capture Unavailable for Maintenance
Scheduled maintenance will be performed from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday, December 17, to upgrade Echo360 ESS. During the maintenance, the Echo360 lecture capture system will be unavailable for up to 20 minutes. For questions about this maintenance, contact the faculty tech support team.
Blackboard Learn Unavailable during Extended Maintenance
Scheduled maintenance will be performed from 11:30 p.m. Saturday, December 24, until 11:30 p.m. Sunday, December 25, to upgrade the Blackboard Learn system. No Outages Expected during Emergency Firewall Maintenance
Emergency firewall maintenance will begin at 10 p.m. to resolve a packet forwarding issue that occurred after Sunday’s maintenance. No outages are expected, but if a problem occurs during the maintenance, the campus network and internet access could be disrupted for up to 30 minutes. Skype/Lync Migration to the Cloud
Faculty and staff accounts for Skype for Business/Lync will be migrated to the Office 365 cloud during maintenance from Tuesday, November 29, until Friday, December 2. As they are migrated, each user will experience a brief interruption in service and the Skype/Lync application will need to be restarted. Network Maintenance Could Affect Some Online Services
Network maintenance from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, November 27, could affect some services for up to four hours. Impacted services rely on the following ports:
Port 90 – DSX Device
Port 97 – BAND (Feed port connected to HSDC-A-mem0)
Port 98 – HAPF (Feed port connected to HSDC-A-mem1)
Port 97 – HSDC-B-mem0 (Feed port)
Port 98 – HSDC-B-mem1 (Feed port)
Additionally, the following networks/firewall zones may have devices impacted during the maintenance:
WSG, TechSrv, SRE, ControlsNET, UDEVCallCenter, CardOffice, Subnet 6, Subnet 5
